Gross speed indicates the total number of keys you have typed, which is calculated in the following formula:
Gross speed = total number of characters / time
When you mistype a character, an error is marked. The net speed is calculated in the following formula:
Net speed = ( total number of characters - number of mistyped characters * Error Factor ) / time
Accuracy is calculated in the following formula:
Accuracy = ( total number of characters - number of mistyped characters * Error Factor ) / total number of characters
The Error Factor defaults to 5, but you always change it to another value in "Options".
If you did not check the option "Save the result" in the result dialog box, your test grade will not be stored, so you can not realize your development of skill.
